About Us

Hi! I'm April and I am the founder of Simmons Bookkeeping Solutions, which I opened in July of 2022. Simmons Bookkeeping Solutions offers CFO Advisory, virtual bookkeeping services using QuickBooks Online, and tax preparation for individuals and small businesses. It was founded out of my passionate drive to assist small business owners as they traverse along the path to creating a successful business. I am designated a Certified CFO Advisor & Professional Bookkeeper but also had 7+ years previous experience in bookkeeping and tax preparation before opening the business. I specialize in construction, contractors, and equine businesses, but welcome all small businesses as clients.

I live in Washington with my husband Jason and our amazing daughter, along with our two dogs and four horses. Being a mother is the greatest pride and joy of my life and I am eternally grateful for all of the benefits of self-employment that empower me to always be there for my family. I am also passionate about my horses and will usually be found spending my free time working with them or out on a trail ride. I grew up showing horses and then moved onto breeding Arabians. I have always had a love for animals and have worked in veterinary clinics, grooming, and farms/ranches over the years.
